Inflation in the UK and company balance sheets announced in the USA were followed last week in global markets. In the UK, monthly inflation was 0.5% in September, while annual inflation was 10.1%, renewing the peak of 40 years. While the US 10-year bond yield hit 4.338% on Friday, the highest level since November 2007, the rise in bond yields globally put pressure on markets throughout the week.
We are watching a horizontal course in the ounce gold price. We think that the price of ounce gold will be shaped according to the future interest rate decision by the USA.
